(2) Sequential Time

"It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power" (Acts 1:7).
God is not confined by time. We were not created to be confined by time. Time began with the curse of sin. When death began, time began. Before sin man was to use time as God uses time.
God uses time as a tool. "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven" (Ecclesaties 3:1). The time we experience sequentially, moment by moment, God uses to achieve His purpose in His creation.
God is outside sequential time. As we saw in the last post, any amount of time, no matter how expansive, is nothing in eternity. God is the eternal that time is kept in. The time we exsist in God views as one complete segment. God is without time.
I think it's important that we relize that events do not happen in sequence with God. Everything God does He does instantly and completely. Everything we experience moment by moment in the reality God created for us to exsist in has already been completed and finished in God's reality. God is in a reality outside the one we exsist in. Our reality is contained in Him.
Once we realize the significance of these truths we can begin to understand the full impact of God stepping out of eternity into time to experience our reality. In my next post we go back before our time into eternity past and really start digging into some meat.
